Studying to become a counsellor is a deeply rewarding and demanding journey. Of course it needs to be tough in order to prepare you for the job which can be extremely challenging as we stand with people in often their most difficult times of their lives. BUT DOES IT HAVE TO BE SO EXPENSIVE!! You have to pay tuition fees, supervision fees and of course your own counsellor’s fees! You also have to pay your regular bills – and we understand that is not easy. This is sad because it means that lots of people who would be great counsellors simply can’t afford it.
